Over 200,000 square meters are dedicated to your viewing pleasure, so be sure to save a day to learn about this extraordinary country.

St. Petersburg’s Winter Palace
This ornately decorated museum has a history as detailed as the intricate fittings and fixtures that glitter and shine throughout the building. Beginning in 1754 as an art collection at the Winter Palace, the museum has been housed partly or fully in around 10 different buildings since. Now the artworks and items can be found at the Winter Palace, The Small Hermitage, The Great (Old) and New Hermitage and the Hermitage Theater.

Over three million items are on display, including almost 20,000 armory and arms pieces, 16,000 paintings, 750,000 archaeological artifacts and much more. There is so much to see inside these buildings you would need days to view it all. Therefore, it is a great idea to check out what you are interested in first and take a guided tour. They have family tours and one and two-hour trips for those that want to see the main artworks.

Enjoy events with Hermitage
