Every year the Oslo Spektrum welcomes 400,000 visitors to 100 star studded events in the arena. Hosting everything from pop stars and music concerts to corporate events and conferences, the landmark multipurpose indoor venue can be found at the prime location of downtown Oslo.
Having first opened its doors in 1990, the arena has since won the Oslo City Council award for outstanding architectural achievement. Today guests can admire the walls adorned with ceramic tiles containing fragments of prints from the artist Rolf Nesch.
Events at the Oslo Spektrum
Since opening its doors, the Oslo Spektrum arena has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, concerts by world class musical stars like Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston and Diana Ross, as well as numerous sporting events. The venue also has built-in ice making facilities for ice hockey matches and the annual Walt Disney World On Ice show.
The Norwegian music award, Spellemannsprisen, is televised from the arena, as is the final of hit reality TV show Norwegian Idol. For classical concerts, the nearby Oslo Opera House
is also a popular venue.
