Messe München International

Messe München International’s (MMI) history started in 1908 with the opening of an exhibition park at Theresienhöhe, celebrating the city’s 750-year anniversary. More than a hundred years later the trade fair organisers of MMI are still going strong, putting on world-class trade fairs such as the BAU, bauma, Transport Logistic and ISPO. Today the company is one of the world’s largest trade fair companies, organising events and exhibitions both in Germany and all around the world. Now, MMI’s massive event areas and rich experience in organising these events, make Munich the go-to destination for trade fairs.

The powerhouse of Munich

In 1998 Messe München International moved to the new district of Riem, which was built on a former airport site. Together with the International Congress Centre Munich ICM and the MOC Event Centre Munich, MMI provides 180,000 square metres of exhibition space spread across 17 buildings, with additional 425,000 square metres of outdoor areas available. This enables them to put on massive exhibition and trade fairs such as bauma, the world’s largest construction trade fair, the sports trade fair ISPO and Drinktec, a trade fair for the beverage and liquid food technology. With innovative service structures, modern infrastructure and technology on board, a conference or trade fair arranged by Messe München is a world-class event.
