Kirchberg

Kirchberg, a plateau situated to the north-east of the city center, is today the heart of the international banking and financial area that the country constitutes. It is also home to various European Union institutions, including the European Court of Justice, parts of the European Commission, the Secretariat of the European Parliament, the European Investment Bank and the European School of Luxembourg.

Besides offices and many international banks, Kirchberg also houses the country’s largest sports venue d’Coque, the national concert hall Philharmonie Luxembourg, the museum of modern art Mudam, the exhibition center Luxexpo The Box as well as the European Convention Center. On the same site as the Mudam is the reconstructed Fort Thüngen, a part of Luxembourg's once formidable fortifications.

Kirchberg is easily accessible by one of the various buses that run regularly from the train station and cross Grand-Duchesse Charlotte bridge, which is commonly called the red bridge due to the anti-rust color that covers the bridge since its construction. If you are visiting Kirchberg on business but looking for a city center location, the Park Inn by Radisson Luxembourg City Hotel is an ideal business hotel with modern rooms and flexible meeting spaces in Luxembourg City.
