Walking along Diestsestraat will reward you with variety of retail chains offering you a fun shopping experience. This is the crème de la crème of shopping in Leuven, and here you’ll find a renovated shopping area with a wide supply of Belgian and international stores. If you’re looking for the more exclusive shopping experience you should make your way to Bondgenotenlaan, the “Champs Elysées” of Leuven. This one kilometre long grand street is filled with shops, such as Zara, the North Face and many more.

As it’s important to stop and smell the roses, on Thursdays you can visit the flower market on Brusselsestraat to do just that. Fridays are all about food and clothing items at Leopold Vanderkelenstraat. Saturdays are market day at Mechelstraat, focusing on antiques, and on Brusselsestraat where there is an artisanal market. You can also make your way to Oude Markt for regional and artisanal products.
