A royal visit and changing of the guards
Oslo’s historical Royal Palace is home to the Norwegian royal family, and opens its doors to the public for guided tours in the summer months. But any time of year, you can catch the daily changing of the guards at 1:30 in the afternoon, so be sure to arrive on time. Located at one end of Oslo’s main street, Karl Johans gate, the Palace features a neo-classical architectural style and is surrounded by the lovely Royal Palace Park.
