The Park Inn by Radisson hotels are Adding Color to Lives by working with local youth at risk. You will find many Park Inn by Radisson hotels located in city-center top locations. A lot of these locations have underprivileged youth with a series of issues.
The connection with our colorful Park Inn brand and ‘Adding Color to Lives’ is easily made. Under the program, Park Inn by Radisson hotels will build a long term relationship with local youth at risk groups, focus on developing work and personal skills and on organizing joint community projects.
The initiative was launched in September 2015. In five flagship locations, Park Inn by Radisson hotels organized workshops for local youth at risk together with Joel Bergner, a famous mural artist on a social mission. In each location a colorful mural with a created by the youth at risk and volunteers of the hotels. The project generated a unique collaboration.
Street art or mural art is basically taking art out of the museum, and putting it somewhere in public where everybody can enjoy it. That is a way for the youth in difficult life situations to be able to express themselves and give them a voice.
After the tremendous success of the first Adding Color to Lives campaign last year, the partnership with Joel Bergner continued in 2016 to bring positivity to young people. Park Inn by Radisson reinforces its commitment to support childhood, local communities and helps improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the world. Starting in Oslo, Norway, followed by Tallinn, Estonia, Krakow in Poland and finishing the journey in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The innovative urban art project for at-risk youth, was a big winner at the January 2017 UNWTO awards ceremony at the International Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid, Spain. Park Inn by Radisson’s “Adding Color to Lives” project, which brings together youth in difficult life situations for a community art project expressing their dreams and cultural heritage, won the UNWTO Award for Excellence and Innovation in Enterprises.

Thanks to the meetings and events booked by Club Carlson for Planners members so far, we have already offset over 35,000 tons of CO2 and planted the same number of trees!

Proud to be Eco-Labelled
Eco-labels are your assurance you are staying in a green hotel. Eco-labels, like Green Key, provide an independent third-party audit of each hotel’s practices and actions to protect the environment. To date, a total of 80+ Park Inn by Radisson hotels across EMEA are eco-labelled.
At the end of 2015, a total of 272 Rezidor hotels across EMEA have received eco-labels, which represents 77%. Our target is to have 100% of our hotels eco-labelled.

Upload your photo, using the hashtag #AddColortoLives to either Instagram or Twitter.
Each selfie uploaded using the hashtag #AddColortoLives to either Instagram or Twitter results in a €1 donation made to World Childhood Foundation up to the value of €5000.
To confirm each €1 donation, a hashtag search of #AddColortoLives will be run through administrating software (HootSuite).
The #AddColortoLives charity donation campaign is open from 01 September 2015 until 30 September 2015.
Terms and conditions
The Rezidor Hotel Group NV/SA, a Belgian company having its registered offices at Avenue du Bourget 44, 1130 Brussels, Belgium ("Rezidor"), organizes this charity donation called “Adding Color to Lives” which is not subject to any financial commitment or purchase. The campaign is operated on Rezidor’s behalf by its appointed agent Umpf Ltd, a UK company with registered offices at 46 The Calls, Leeds, LS2 7EY, United Kingdom (“Umpf”).
All holders of an open Instagram or Twitter account who upload pictures with hashtag #AddColortoLives qualify for the charity donation by Rezidor.
The campaign starts on 01 September 2015 and ends on 30 September 2015. For every colorful selfie, or selfie using #AddColortoLives with one of the Adding Color to Lives murals at the following Park Inn by Radisson destinations – Brussels, Malmo, London, Cologne and Cape Town, a donation of €1 will be made by Rezidor to the World Childhood Foundation. For the donation to occur, individuals must upload their selfie via Instagram or Twitter, with the hashtag #AddColortoLives. Failure to do so will result in no donation made by Rezidor.
Total donation to World Childhood Foundation is capped at €5,000.
A hashtag search of #AddColortoLives will be initiated each day by Rezidor in HootSuite, the administrating software, to confirm each €1 donation; the pictures qualifying for the donation will be shown on www.parkinn.com/addingcolor on a daily basis.
Rezidor assumes that the person up-loading a picture with the hashtag #AddColortoLives is the rightful holder of all intellectual property rights in this picture and that he/she fully complies with Instagram and Twitter’s general terms and conditions. In case of any copyright infringement claimed by a third party, Rezidor reserves the right to hold itself harmless at the person having up-loaded the picture despite failing under these Terms and Conditions.
