Hotel practises Responsible Business
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Carlson Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development since launching its first environmental policy in 1989.
The company focuses on areas of responsibility that impact business and society. The award-winning Responsible Business programme, launched in 2001, is built on three pillars:
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group launched the charity-driven "Unselfie" campaign. For every photo taken that illustrates a good deed or work and is tagged #unselfieparkinn or #unselfieradissonblu, the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will give EUR 1 to the World Childhood Foundation.
On 21 Sep 2014, the staff at Park Inn by Radisson St. Petersburg and Radisson Blu St. Petersburg gathered in Yuntolovskiy Reservation in the north of the city to make it cleaner. We collected and recycled the following items:
On 01 Oct 2010, the Park Inn by Radisson Pulkovskaya was certified with a Green Key. Green Key is an eco-label awarded to over 2,100 establishments in 41 countries worldwide.
Green Key covers all operational issues: saving water and energy, separate waste recycling, impact on guests and staff, cleaning of rooms and use of detergents, food safety, indoor atmosphere, and ecological interaction with guests and staff.
The hotel uses separate garbage collection, as well as an optimised water usage system. Much attention is paid to energy-saving technologies, such as energy-saving light bulbs installed in all public areas of the hotel, which helps to reduce power consumption.
Additionally, in 2001, the basic principles of environmental policies were formulated with our Responsible Business programme. Since 1989, the year the first environmental policy by Rezidor Hotel Group was created, caring for the environment and the people are essential parts of the company’s development.
