Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the Rezidor Hotel Group's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organization, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. Employees
All employees continuously get proper training in fire & rescue, heart & lung training and First Aid.

Environment

• We actively work with energy and water savings, by investing in products and services that will better benefit our environment.
• We have refillable soap dispensers in all rooms and public areas and we participate in the Rezidor towel and linen change programme.
• We prioritize suppliers that have a clear environment plan.
• Our company car drives with ethanol.

Community
Responsible Business is not only about the environment; we are committed to our local communities and schools with many different types of activities throughout the year. We co-operate with Uppsala municipality to welcome long term unemployed into the workplace, as well as foreign students learning Swedish.

Many of the charities that we sponsor promote Non Drug and Childhood. To further our responsibility we also sponsored Plan Organisation with adopting child.
