The forthcoming Universiade 2013 games will be held in the Russian city of Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The 2013 games will take place in 64 bespoke new venues and existing facilities across the city. Participants in Universiade 2013 will stay in the purpose-built Universiade Village. With capacity for 14,500 people, residents can enjoy the use of information and entertainment centres, a stadium and training gyms.
The level of sporting talent at Universiade is high - it is estimated that 60 per cent of athletes who compete in the games will go on to be Olympics participants.
