KUMU Art Museum
If you are interested in art and Estonian culture, the KUMU Art Museum
in Tallinn is a must-see attraction. The impressive museum opened in 2006, and has ever since offered a wide range of outstanding art exhibitions for both locals and tourists.
Exhibitions and Events
In 2008, the European Museum Forum awarded KUMU Tallinn with the European Museum of the Year Award. From that time, KUMU has received massive recognition internationally for its variety of exhibitions, activities for young and old, and its educational programs for young children. As well as presenting the best of domestic and international art, the museum also arranges several cultural events all year around. The museum does not only facilitate top-notch displays, but the building itself, with its aesthetic post-modernistic architecture, looks like artwork too.
The building consists of seven floors, in which a large part of the museum actually is underground in order to make the museum look smaller than it really is. Get lost in the art and the endless oval corridors and enjoy the best of classical and contemporary art expeditions in beautiful surroundings. Surrounded by a beautiful outdoor area and Kadriorg Park, this is an attraction you should not miss out on.
From the Park Inn by Radisson Central Tallinn
, reaching KUMU is easy by public transport or on foot. After a day soaking up art and culture head back to your classy accommodation. Go for a workout at the fitness centre, relax in the spa, enjoy a culinary dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and then go out to enjoy a drink at a local cocktail bar.
