The Grand Prix in Hungary
The Hungarian Grand Prix was first held in 1936, and was won by Italian speedster Tazio Nuvolari in an Alfa Romeo. The cars that now race around the Hungaroring, home of Hungarian Formula 1, bear little resemblance to that early vehicle but the passion and excitement surrounding the event remain the same.
Set in a picturesque valley at Mogyoród, 20km north of Budapest, the Hungaroring has seen its share of high drama throughout the years and the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix will be no less thrilling. The race takes place on 28 of July this year, but eager visitors with full weekend tickets can arrive early to enjoy the Public Pit Walk on the Thursday before the race.
