There is always time for a little shopping when in Brussels. There are two main shopping areas in the city, Rue Neuve and Avenue Louise. Avenue Louise is the more upmarket of the two but also caters for everyone.
Avenue Louise is alive with designer brand stores, such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Nespresso, amongst others. Interspersed among the large international brand labels are well known high street chains and a number of department stores. Off course it would not be Brussels, without the occasional chocolate shop.
Situated between Place Louise and a park called Bois de la Cambre, Avenue Louise is almost 3km long. The retail section is found on the upper section of the street. The lower tree-lined part of Avenue Louise leads to the King’s park, which is also worth a visit when you decide to take a break from shopping.
