Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp champions environmental sustainability and social engagement
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organisation supported by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.
We encourage all Carlson Rezidor employees to attend a Responsible Business training session outlining the potential environmental impact of various business practices.
The staff at the Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp participates in initiatives to maximize energy and water conservation, while working to promote products and services that minimize negative environmental impact. As part of this initiative, staff members coordinate with the city of Antwerp and local schools to clean Astrid Square each year.
Among other community efforts, Park Inn staff work with local charitable institutions to aid Antwerp’s homeless population and underprivileged mothers and children. Each year, the Park Inn Antwerp also assists in organising a local benefit to prevent AIDS and HIV.
