Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp goes green
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the Rezidor Hotel Group's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements. Rezidor hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organization, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. RB activities and achievements:

Employees
All employees are invited to a Responsible Business training session to make them aware of their impact on the environment.

Environment
The hotel staff actively works to conserve energy and water, as well as investing in products and services that will benefit the environment. Every year, they participate with the Antwerp city authorities and local schools in the cleaning of the Astrid Square in front of the hotel.

Community
The Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp takes part in many different types of activities throughout the year to benefit the local community. The staff works with local charities, which look after homeless and deprived mothers and their babies, and participate actively in the organisation of a yearly Antwerp benefit to prevent AIDS and HIV.
