I had pre-purchased a room at the Park Inn by Radisson (7-day advanced purchase) for my business trip to Fresno on April 13 and 14. I reserved for 2 nights (April 12, and April 13). I was extremely disappointed and disgusted by the state of the Park Inn hotel. For starters, I was told that there was NO hot water in majority of the buildings and was asked to be on a top floor. I am currently injured and need a handicapable room and there are no elevators so I asked to be on the bottom floor of a building. The front desk staff seemed utterly perturbed by the request and only apathetically tried to see if she "could make something work". When I got to the building, there were no ramps up to the building and I still had to take steps. Next, as I walked into the building, there was an overpowering smell of marijuana pervading throughout the hallway, there was limited lighting making the building seem dark and dank, and the ice machine was broken. Inside the room at first glance everything seemed fine. But then I noticed that the sliding door to the room had been left unlocked (for who knows how long), the bathroom was not handicap accessible, and the vent feeding air into the room looked like it was covered in black mold. The room was moist and stuffy, there was also no lighting besides the bed side lamp, the chair inside the room was wet, and when I sat on the bed looking at everything for 5 minutes in complete disbelief, I began to feel itchy all over my body. To cap it all, there was no hot water in my room. I did not feel safe or clean inside the hotel. And I did not feel that I could spend my nights there. When we went to let the front desk staff know we were leaving and ask for a refund, we were told a)the manager was "in and out" and unavailable, b) that I wasn't allowed a refund despite my complaints, and then c) I was given an email by the front desk staff to contact for a full refund THAT DOES NOT ACCEPT OUTSIDE EMAILS. Why even have contact information available for managers if they are not allowed to be contacted? This was terrible experience and I would never recommend someone to stay here.
